What you’ll do:
As the Business Development leader, you will play a pivotal leadership role in Sproutr’s growth journey. You will drive revenue generation, deepen client relationships, and position Sproutr as the go-to partner for insurance program and product design solutions. This is more than a sales role—it is a strategic growth position for a connector, influencer, and champion of innovation across the insurance landscape.
We are seeking a self-motivated, high-performing leader who brings an established network, consultative selling expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset. You’re known for your ability to open doors, nurture trust, and deliver value through meaningful engagement.
In your first 12 months, you will:
Develop and execute growth strategies that align with organizational objectives and drive new business acquisition.
Identify, target, and cultivate new business opportunities, building a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
Manage the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation through closing, ensuring consistent follow-up and optimization of all opportunities.
Deliver concierge-level engagement to existing clients, identifying additional ways Sproutr can support their evolving needs.
Leverage consultative selling approaches by understanding clients' businesses, challenges, and objectives—aligning tailored solutions that showcase the value of Sproutr’s expertise.
Utilize and expand your network to foster relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers.
Participate in industry events, thought leadership initiatives, and networking activities that support Sproutr’s brand visibility and growth targets.
Stay informed on emerging market trends and developments through continuous learning and internal/external trainings.
Travel as necessary to support business development and client engagement activities.

Qualifications:
Deep understanding of insurance products, programs, and operational challenges.
Demonstrated success selling professional services and consulting solutions, often characterized by long sales cycles and varied deal sizes.
Proven track record of building strategic relationships with senior executives and decision-makers in the insurance space.
History of exceeding revenue goals and performance targets, not just meeting them.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience with CRM systems and sales process implementation.

The founder has successfully led insurance business units and underwriting and product teams for Fortune 500 insurance Companies as well as holding executive positions within unicorn Insurtechs.
Compensation:
• Competitive total rewards package including:

• Compensation for this role includes a base salary + commission structure.
• Estimated On-Target Earnings (OTE): $120,000 to $282,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographic location.
• Eligibility for participation in Sproutr’s sales incentive program, tied to achievement of annual sales goals.
