About the Role:

Sproutr LLC seeking an experienced, self-directed Project Manager/Account Manager who demonstrates professional confidence and takes ownership of complex challenges in a dynamic environment to support new product innovation and growth.

Sproutr is a new, first of its kind underwriting and product building firm who exists to accelerate and support insurance-focused companies and Insurtechs in need of “builder” skills. We are subject-matter experts in our respective disciplines and look to use that experience in a more integrated, holistic manner.

About the Role
Your primary responsibility (80%) will be project management, planning, coordinating, and executing internal projects. You'll also serve as a client-facing contact (20%), ensuring our customers experience clarity, consistency, and proactive communication throughout their engagements with Sproutr. You will be a part of building across different projects at various stages of our clients’ evolution without the pressure of start-up flash. We are insurance veterans who LOVE insurance; looking to clear the path for insurance entrepreneurs.

On a typical day, you'll manage 5-8 concurrent projects across different service lines including actuarial analysis, underwriting, product development, and compliance. You'll facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless handoffs between teams while tracking dependencies and maintaining detailed project documentation in JIRA. Your work includes conducting regular status check-ins with project stakeholders, proactively surfacing risks and roadblocks before they impact delivery.
As a client-facing contact for select accounts, you'll manage expectations and communications, serving as the trusted point of contact throughout their engagement with Sproutr. You'll develop executive-level reports and dashboards that provide leadership with clear visibility into project health, timelines, and risks. Beyond execution, you'll continuously identify process gaps and inefficiencies, bringing forward practical solutions to improve delivery quality and speed.

You will work closely and regularly interact with our multidisciplinary internal teams as well as the executive leadership team.

You’ll report directly to the Head of Operations.

What you’ll do:

Lead Project Management Initiatives:

  • Establish detailed project plans, defining clear timelines, milestones, and responsibilities.

  • Actively monitor project progression, perform regular follow-ups, and ensure alignment across stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify risks, and independently develop solution options before escalating - you're expected to bring recommendations, not just problems. You'll challenge assumptions and push back constructively when timelines, scope, or resources are unrealistic.


Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with all internal teams (including product development, actuarial analysis, underwriting, and technology), ensuring smooth handoffs and seamless information flow.

  • Act as a communication hub, ensuring transparency, accountability, and clarity across teams.

  • Navigate organizational complexity with confidence, influencing without direct authority.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for both new and existing clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and building strong, lasting relationships.

  • Represent Sproutr professionally, reflecting our commitment to excellence and partnership.

  • Manage client expectations realistically - you know when to say "yes" and when to diplomatically push back with alternatives.

  • Anticipate client needs and address concerns before they become issues.


Reporting and Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting structures to provide leadership with clear insights into project statuses, risks, timelines, and client satisfaction.

  • Produce accurate, visually engaging, and executive-level reports leveraging reporting tools.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Take ownership of process gaps, experiment with solutions and propose improvements.

  • Proactively recommend and implement process improvements, contributing to greater efficiency, effectiveness, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within consulting, SaaS, or similarly fast-paced, client-driven industries.

  • Proven track record managing complex projects from initiation through successful completion with minimal supervision.

  • Extensive proficiency with project management platforms (e.g., JIRA, Monday.com, Asana).

  • Tech-savvy individual comfortable adapting quickly to new software environments.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Direct experience or strong familiarity with the insurance industry, specifically commercial insurance products and program development.

  • Previous account management or client relationship experience, emphasizing communication, responsiveness, and issue resolution.

  • Skilled in creating executive-level reports, dashboards, and analytics for senior leadership.

  • Experience working in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments where you've had to define processes rather than just follow them

  • Active PMP certification (or equivalent demonstrable project management expertise with plans to certify in the near future)

This position will be eligible for company benefits in accordance with Company policy.
